noisey primary
I own a 06 dyna low rider with 6078 miles, and I recently noticed a whining, or rattle on the primary side. No warranty left, so I went to the internet and found threads concerning the input primary bearing and race. Also have heard of stator problems. I understand that Harley is willing to pay for replacement parts and labor should I call them, dealer says they have to tear it down. My bike has a definite whine when in neutral or downshifting. Noise goes away when I put it in gear. or engage the clutch. Dealer is acting stupid, like they know nothing. Anyone out that that can help?

06 dana low rider with noise in primary
take it apart and u will find the bolts came out of rotor soon the check engine light , will come on and battery light will also come on and will quit . charging harley will not do any thing about it they knew it was a defictive part when they put it in it will last until its out of warranty . u will see the change in rotor about 200.00 and it will destroy the stator as it did mine soon . about 150.00 and gaskets 30.00 and 4 hr to r&r it u will be out about 500.00 never had this much trouble out of a harley in my life . from check eng lights to stator rotor brakes weare to fast tires only 8000 miles woren out man this sucks . have 2006 fxdci .
