Harley reliability

I am on my second Harley...My first one was a 1999 Electra glide Classic (bought used)... No problems at all. I traded it because I wanted something easier to handle for my size.

My current and second Harley is a 2005 (bought new) Heritage Softtail Classic (EFI). Mechanically, the bike is awesome except for a shimmy at 35 MPH (noticeable when you let the handlebars go). The dealer says the neck bearings need to be tightened, and that there have been a few of those coming in. That indicates to me that there is a manufacturing flaw, nothing serious, unless you let it go too long. Is it recall worthy??? I have over 12,000 miles on it, and I would recommend a Harley Softtail to anyone. Just find a decent dealer.

The differences I find is at the dealership. I bought mine away from the hometown dealer because of past experiences, but anyone would do that whatever they drive or ride.

I have never been stranded, except for running out of gas once... Stubborn me would not stop for a particular brand of gas and I paid the price!
