FLHTCUI
Hi Clayton,
Sorry to hear about your problems with your Harley. I was wondering and I'm still reading the opinions of others on the site you posted. do you know if their have been problems with the 2006 FLHTCUI Classic, front motor mounts? One of our club members went down on his bike and put him in the hospital and the bike is a wreck.
After the 5k service our front mount was replaced and his too.
If you hear of anything concerning this problem please pass it on to us.
Thank you, Jackie

Jackie,
I also have a 2006 FLHTCUI Classic and the front motor mount has been replaced for the 3rd time this october with only 13,000 on the bike.
I am wondering why Harley isnt doing anything about it...???
Sorry to hear about your club member..

2006 FLHTCUI Motor Mounts
Jackie and Doug,
I also own a 06 FLHTCUI and had my motor mount failed at 27,000 miles taking out the rear support bracket and rear crossover pipe. When I asked the dealer about this problem he told me that motor mounts are 'wearable' parts that need to be replaced just like a tire. Nowhere in the service manual will you find a statement as such. My second Harley motor mount which is made IN CHINA has also failed, causing the bike to shake so bad at a stop that you can hardly hold the grips. The first motor mount had a visible tear in the rubber, the made IN CHINA motor mount shows no signs of a tear, but the dealer assured me it needs to be replaced. I was told by a dealer that Harley has redesigned this mount over 7 times and it appears they still can't get it right. I'm frustrated with this problem and would like to know if anyone out there has found an aftermarket solution that would solve the problem. Apparently Harley can't figure out how to solve this problem and continues to experiment with us the riders - bad way to do business!!! You only get a 3 month warranty on any Harley part...what does that tell you about their confidence in what they are selling?
I'll be posting the many other problems I've had with this bike in other locations on the site. This bike is a maintenance nightmare, wish I had never purchased it.
